BEHIND THE SCENES with KESHAV

“I come from a very musical family and started making beats seriously around age 12. My father is one of Trinidad’s most experienced Ambassadors, but before he chose a career in the foreign service, he was a professional musician as a young man and a very accomplished one at that! My mother is from India and grew up in the UK as a young girl. She is a visual artist, documentary filmmaker and plays the guitar. Those inclinations made their way into me and here I am now.”

Keshav is a Musician, Producer and most recently, a singer/songwriter based in T&T. He is also the other half of Jus Now, a production and performance duo with Sam Chadburn aka SNØW from the UK. Jus Now brings together indigenous Trinidadian drums and UK Bass music in a most unique way, and signed to Warner Records, 2 Tone Ent. about 2 years ago. The duo performs at festivals around the world, mostly in the UK and Europe (Glastonbury etc), operating in a two-fold manner: “we make a lot of music within and without the Caribbean Diaspora” explains Keshav.

Since returning to Trinidad & Tobago in 2006, Keshav has been producing a range of music full time. As of 2019, Keshav has been working on a solo singing project very intently. His first solo EP of all original songs is one about love and the many states of the human experience. Quite a departure from anything he’s done so far with Jus Now or anything we’ve heard before.
