The band, BuzzRock, is a high energy reggae band hailing from the twin isle of Trinidad and Tobago. The name BuzzRock represents the pulse of the earth or the vibration of the people, hence the name ‘Buzz’ (vibration) and ‘Rock’ (the Earth). BuzzRock’s performances have been known to mesmerize reggae lovers and non-reggae listeners alike, with their mystical presence on stage, raw emotion and passion each member puts into the music. Their first album titled ‘Universal Blacks’ was released in 2009. The album, fully produced by BuzzRock and mastered at Tuff Gong Studios – Jamaica, created waves in Trinidad and Tobago and a number of independent record labels have taken interest in the project with plans underway to secure international distribution. Consisting of six (6) core members; Sadiki Niamke Philips (Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals, Backup Vocals), Haile-Sion Sam (Drums), Candace ‘Keys’ Moore (Keyboards), Rodney ‘Yahrod’ Rique (Lead Vocals, Backup Vocals), Lamar ‘Beebo’ Pollard (Bass) and Stephen ‘Blitz’ Peterson (Lead Guitars). BuzzRock is often considered a family band as most of the members have known each other for a number of years through their pursuit of musical and spiritual knowledge. When put on a stage together, what ensues can only be described as mind blowing. To date the band has performed alongside a host of international reggae icons including: Midnite, Steelpulse, Barrington Levy, Max Romeo, Dezarie, Ras Shiloh, Ijahman Levi, Cocoa Tea, Tarrus Riley and Beres Hammond BuzzRock’s current plan is to do as many performances to as many new audiences as possible in an effort to promote their current album ‘Universal Blacks’ and continue their work in spreading the words and teachings of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie. The band is also preparing new material for another album slated for release in 2015.

Hailing from the caribbean twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, comes this energetic, dynamic, solid, soulful, “get up and dance” reggae band… Mystic Elements. With 7 years of experience on the stage supporting some of Trinidad’s finest reggae singers this vibrant and sonically rich reggae band quickly raises the frequency and vibration when they deliver electrifying sets, with bass (Dominic Gomes) like walls of thunder, solid dynamic drums (Anthony Grant), crisp clean and atmospheric guitars (David Joachim and Asim Pottinger), and the steady engine of the ‘bubble and bang’ and melodic lines from the keyboards (Chris Mc Coon and Dominic Andrews). While having their own unique brand of reggae music the band pays tribute and and homage to greats like The Wailers, Culture, Burning Spear, Black Uhuru, and even more recent Buzzrock, Midnite, Zinc Fence Band, Indignation and others. Founded in late 2006 by band leader drummer and producer Anthony ‘Stoney’ Grant, Mystic Elements is one out of just a handful of reggae bands in Trinidad that keep the fire burning on the live reggae music scene there. While reggae music is widely listened to and extremely popular in Trinidad, the small number of live reggae bands along with some other genres tend to have limited resources and very few options for stage shows and therefore take quite some time to build a local fan base. Nevertheless, Mystic Elements and the other bands keep on pushing through.

From 2006 to 2011 nearly every show the band played was by their own organizing and promotion, supporting Trinidad grown and internationally known artists like Jah Defender, Jamelody, Kushite, Bucha, Royal Dainties, Justin Cross, Zebulun, Jah Son, Prince of Judah, Jesarai, Black Loyalty, Foundation Stone and Queen Omega to name a few. On May 4th 2014 the band was asked to join the casts of international artists like Midnite, Maxi Priest, Super Cat and others, on stage at the annual Reggae On The Bay held in Trinidad. The band continues to promote their own events with artistes in order to establish the understanding that at least the best of the local reggae artiste should have a backing band to allow for a more dynamic and creative performance as opposed to almost always being backed by tracks.

While Mystic Elements performs music that is produced by the different producers that work with artist like Jah Defender, they also have original music produced by ‘Stoney’ which they plan to begin releasing in later 2014. The band’s goal is to bring the vital element of a live band to the performances of Trinidad’s best reggae artiste. Ultimately all Mystic Elements really wants is to bring the music and positive vibes from some of Trinidad’s finest reggae artists in it’s best form to the world stage of conscious music.
