Signal Hill Alumni Choir 30th Anniversary Concert

Join Tobago’s premier African-Caribbean folk choir, the SIGNAL HILL ALUMNI CHOIR (SHAC), as it marks the momentous accomplishment of 30 years in song with two evenings of performances at One Caribbean Voice – Tobago on Saturday October 25, 2014 and Sunday October 26, 2014 at the Central Bank Auditorium

The celebration will open with grand flair with a gala night including a cocktail reception on Saturday October 25, 2014 at the auditorium. Magnetic saxophonist and flautist, Pedro Lezama, will enliven guests as they savour the exquisitely prepared hors d’oeuvres of Chef/Sommelier Jacqueline Danclair of Chez Jacqueline while enjoying fine wines provided by Angostura Limited‘s Solera. The SHAC will welcome the Central Bank’s chorale ensemble, The Bank Notes, to the stage bringing an eclectic blend of Caribbean and African folk, world music, gospel, reggae and soca rhythms.

The festivities will continue at a matinee presentation on Sunday October 26, 2014 where the SHAC will share the stage with two of Trinidad’s legendary choirs, The Lydians Male Ensemble and The Marionettes Chorale.

To highlight the occasion the SHAC will offer a musical journey through its repertoire that will feature the theme song, One Caribbean Voice, and Ray Holman’s composition, My Country.
